Hydro-Thermal Inc.’s manufactures steam injectors for heating and mixing liquids and slurries for pulp and paper processing applications.  When Hydro-Thermal filed a trademark application for its name, the Trademark Office refused the application asserting that the mark is merely descriptive of its products.  Attorney Sokol submitted legal arguments and documents to overcome the refusal.  When the Office mailed a Final Refusal, Attorney Sokol filed an Appeal to Trademark Trial & Appeal Board (TTAB), overcame the refusal, and obtained U.S. Registration No. 2,114,944 for HYDRO-THERMAL.
