APPLE STEEL RULE DIE
Apple Steel Rule Die, Co. manufactures metal dies for use in machines, such as for cutting or embossing operations. When a competitor in St. Louis changed its name to Apple Die Specialties, Attorney Sokol filed federal applications for APPLE STEEL RULE DIE and APPLE DIE for dies for machine tools. Both applications were allowed by the Trademark Office, but Apple Die Specialties opposed the APPLE DIE application. Attorney Sokol overcame the opposition and obtained U.S. Registration Nos. 2,370,109 and 2,675,797 to protect the national rights to the company’s name and logo. Apple Die Specialties has since changed its name to STL Dies, Inc.
